    Open chords and rhythm

    • Strum steady quarter, eighth, and syncopated patterns.

    Practice: Play a four-chord progression with a metronome for two minutes.

    Fretboard foundations

    • Find notes on strings 6 and 5, then across the neck.
    • Use octave shapes and position markers.

    Practice: Name and play random notes across the fretboard without guessing.
