Learning, made personal — and open
Most kids don’t fall behind because a subject is too hard. It’s almost always one specific thing. You miss why you flip the second fraction when you divide, and then everything built on top of that feels impossible for the rest of the year. In a room of thirty, nobody catches it until the test comes back.
The fix isn’t complicated. Someone who already gets it sits down with you and you ask your actual question, the one you didn’t want to raise your hand for in class. But that person usually costs eighty dollars an hour, which means the kids who need it most are the ones who don’t get it. That’s the part we couldn’t get over.
We just took these classes. We still remember which parts were confusing because it was last year. Charging a middle schooler’s family eighty dollars so we can explain fractions would put us on the wrong side of the exact thing that bothers us, so we don’t charge anything.
It’s 30 minutes of our week. We’re happy to give it.
Our mission
To help each scholar reach their potential.
We believe the fastest way to learn something is with the help of a real person who already understands it. A good tutor adapts to how you think, answers the exact question holding you back, and keeps you motivated. That kind of attention has always been powerful — and historically, expensive and hard to find.
PeerTutor starts with the part students can use safely today: sequenced courses, checked practice, source citations, and a Study Helper that balances major assignments. A school-partnered near-peer tutoring pilot is the next stage, not a feature we pretend is ready before its safeguards are finished.
Curriculum sources are cited plainly, so students know where lessons and practice pathways come from. We think the learning path should be as transparent as the knowledge it helps share.

Public by default
Published coursework and source citations are visible up front so learners can start immediately.
Human support, with safeguards
The tutor pilot will open through approved schools only after consent, training, moderation, and incident-response controls are complete.
Privacy & safety first
Features involving direct student contact stay disabled until the product can enforce the required safeguards.
